The house brand of Creative Housewares, provides entry level appliances through the "Contemporary" range to full feature, highly styled products through the "Executive" range.
Creative Housewares is proud to be appointed as the official distributor of Dyson, UK's premium vacuum cleaner brand, which has set new standards in advanced technology and design in floor care.
Aqua Optima has been researching water for years; testing it and refining it using the latest technology resulting in cleaner, purer water, just as nature intended.

 

MELLERWARE TURNS 25

JR MellerIt is a proud year ahead for everyone at Creative Housewares as we celebrate 25 years since the company started trading in South Africa. However, if one was to trace the history back further we would find that the company is considerably older dating back to my grandfathers days in the 1950’s as a small family operation in England. In 1984 my father came to South Africa with an imported range of 2 kettles. A year later a small assembly line was started out of a garage employing three staff with a capacity of fifty pieces a day and so the story begins…“2009 marks Mellerwares silver anniversary. The brand has come a long way in 25 years yet the ethos into the 21st century…

We have come a long way since then yet some things haven’t changed. My grandfather’s values are still prevalent in the high quality yet affordable items that we have on offer, and he would have been especially proud of the way in which our sourcing department always finds something unique to offer our customers.

Three generations in the family and the company has grown into a formidable player in the appliances market with local manufacturing, importing and exporting departments. In 2006 we were acquired by Spanish appliance giant, Taurus, which gave us access to first class testing facilities, engineers and finance. This has enabled the Mellerware brand to grow extensively within its existing product ranges as well as expanding into many new categories, and has also paved the way for Taurus appliance brand, Mallory, and housewares brand, Monix, to be introduced successfully into the local market. Through our rapid growth and solid reputation in the market we have added international brands Dyson and Aqua Optima to our stable.

To commemorate our silver anniversary and achievements to date, we have aligned ourselves with marketing and advertising agencies who, together with our marketing department, will be hosting numerous activities throughout the year. The first of which was the Mellerware logo and packaging upgrade which will be rolled out with all our new products from October 2008 onwards. We look forward to an exciting year ahead filled with new products and new opportunities, here’s to 25 years more!
